Bohuslav Rattay Now in his sixth season as the Artistic Director of the Muncie Symphony Orchestra and beginning his second as Music Director of the Lake Charles Symphony, Czech conductor Bohuslav Rattay has gained a reputation as one of the finest talents of his generation, combining impassioned and virtuosic musicianship with a determination to bring great music into the lives of all people. Maestro Rattay has been acclaimed by critics and audiences alike the world over for his fresh and inspired interpretations of works ranging from perennial concert-hall favorites to the contemporary, with special appreciation often given to his insightful understanding of the music of his native Bohemia.

Andres Franco
Andres Franco Andrés Franco is currently Associate Conductor of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor of Caminos del Inka. He appears regularly as guest conductor in the U.S., Europe and South America. Highlights of his recent and upcoming engagements include performances with the Corpus Christi, Elgin, Eugene, Houston, Saint Louis, Springfield and Stockton Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León (Spain), the National Symphony Orchestra of Peru, and the Bogota Philharmonic (Colombia). He has also participated in the Oregon Bach Festival, the Fort Worth Symphony's “Great Performances” Festival, the Medellin International Music Festival and the Latin American Music Festival at TCU.

Lawrence Loh
Lawrence Loh Resident Conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Music Director of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic and Music Director of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra, Lawrence Loh is one of the most exciting young talents on the classical music scene today. He was brought to national attention in February 2004 when he substituted last minute for an ailing Charles Dutoit with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Conducting Stravinsky’s Petrouchka and Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique, Loh received enthusiastic acclaim from orchestra players, audience members and critics, alike.

Arthur Post
Arthur Post Now in his second season as Music Director of Canada’s Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, while continuing for a tenth acclaimed season as Music Director of the San Juan Symphony, ARTHUR POST has established a reputation for groundbreaking programming that combines the masterworks of the orchestral repertoire with music reflecting local cultures and concerns. He enjoys a distinguished record with major orchestras in the United States and Europe.

As a guest conductor in Europe, Arthur Post made his debut with the Radio-Sinfonie-Orchester Berlin in 1993 and has recorded with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in a recording for the BMG label. Other international appearances include the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Saarländische Radio Orchestra, Orchestre National de Toulouse, Singapore and Jerusalem symphony orchestras, as well as return engagements with the Orchestre National de Lille, Opéra Théatre de Besançon and Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Costa Rica. He works regularly on the conducting staff of Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu, where he has collaborated with singers Renée Fleming, Juan Diego Flores, José van Dam, Samuel Ramey, Joyce DiDonato and Eva Podles, among others. In the United States, Mr. Post has led concerts with the Annapolis, Arkansas, Columbus, Detroit, Flagstaff, Grand Rapids, Harrisburg, Houston, Illinois, Monterey, New Jersey, North Carolina, Portland, Richmond, San Antonio, Syracuse and Virginia Symphony Orchestras and the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra. Mr. Post has collaborated with leading artists Lorin Maazel, James Galway, Ryan Anthony, Sarah Chang, Hilary Hahn and Maxim Vengerov.

Peter Rubardt
Peter Rubardt Entering his sixteenth season as Music Director of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, PETER RUBARDT continues to inspire artistic excellence and to create innovative programs for the Pensacola community. During his tenure with the PSO, Peter Rubardt is credited with significantly raising the orchestra’s artistic level, and with serving the Pensacola community by initiating pops, chamber orchestra, and family concerts. He played a central role in leading the successful renovation of the historic Pensacola Saenger Theatre, giving the orchestra increased visibility and vitality. Rubardt’s current season includes debuts with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra and Japan’s Yamagata Orchestra, as well as a return to Japan’s Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra, where he previously performed for the Imperial Highness Princess Hitachi of Japan. In addition, this season he will return to the pit of the Saenger Theatre for performances of Verdi’s Rigoletto with the Pensacola Opera.

Gurer Aykal
Gurer Aykal A native of Turkey, Maestro Aykal entered the Ankara State Conservatory at the age of eleven. After graduating in 1969, with degrees in Violin and Composition, he was awarded a State Scholarship for further studies at London's Guildhall School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. During his two years in London, he studied under a number of prominent conductors including Andre Previn and George Hurst.

In 1973, he returned to Turkey and was appointed Permanent Conductor of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of Turkey. In 1988, he was appointed Music Director and Conductor of the Orchestra. Maestro Aykal lead the Presidential Symphony Orchestra on a tour of the United States in January of 1997, making stops at New York City's Lincoln Center and Washington D. C.'s J.F.K. Center.
