Young People's Concert

The El Paso Electric Company People's Concerts are annual concerts held each year for the past 69years. Six concerts are presented, over three days, free to 15,000 of our area's 5th grade students. It is with the support of the El Paso Electric Company and the El Paso Symphony Guild that these concerts are made possible and that lives are impacted.

Downtown KidsPalooza

Peter and the Wolf

March 27, 2010
Plaza Theatre_Downtown El Paso

The El Paso Symphony Orchestra led by Andres Moran, Assistant Conductor, presents two interactive children’s performances of Peter and the Wolf: 12:00pm and 2:00pm at the Plaza Theatre. Peter and the Wolf dance choreography by Ingeborg Heuser and produced by Eden Enterprises.

Tickets for these concerts are $5 general admission.

These performances are presented in conjunction with Downtown KidsPalooza -- an all day cultural event. Events include presenting two lively and entertaining concerts, with programming selected especially for the younger crowd and they will be performed in the Plaza Theatre. Downtown area local arts organizations will present “Make & Take” craft workshops, tours, performances and exhibits that are sure to educate and expose young participates to the many activities available in the El Paso area. The all day event features free trolley rides to a variety of educational stops throughout the downtown area.

March Madness

Golf Tournament & NCAA Men's Championship Game

April 5, 2010
El Paso Country Club

The El Paso Symphony is pleased to introduce the Annual March Madness Golf Tournament & NCAA Men's Final Basketball Championship Game. This all day event scheduled for Monday, April 5, 2010 at the El Paso Country Club will begin at 10:30am with registration then lunch will be served at 11:00am followed by a friendly competition of 18 holes of golf offering special prizes to the top team (teams of four). Tee time is set for 12:30pm.

The “Madness” continues at 6pm inside the El Paso Country Club to watch the men’s final game of the NCAA College Basketball Championship tournament, eat good food, have a few drinks and have plenty of fun. Pre-game activities and dinner start at 6pm – tip off is at 7:00pm. Call 532-EPSO (3776)for full details.
