The largest component of the EPSO’s educational mission, the El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestra (EPSYO) serve over 300 students each year. EPSYO is committed to creating and maintaining a professional and supportive environment in which young musicians will achieve the highest level of artistic advancement and personal growth performing two to four concerts each year of the finest classical music repertoire. EPSYO is open to all qualified orchestral musicians ages 7 - 23 currently enrolled in their school’s instrumental music program (if available).

EPSYOs students participate in weekly rehearsals and perform concerts in El Paso’s finest concert halls. Their relationship with the EPSO allows our members access to the musicians of the EPSO through coachings, rehearsals, and the annual Side-by-Side Concert. In our 16 year history, 100% of our high school seniors have graduated and gone on to attend college, often on scholarships secured through EPSYOs events.
