December 5 & 6, 2025, 7:30 pm Plaza Theatre
EL PASO, TX — The El Paso Symphony Orchestra is set to usher in the holiday season with a magical concert that promises to enchant audiences of all ages. The concerts, generously sponsored by Becky & Bill Holmes, will be on Friday, December 5, and Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at the Plaza Theatre. Join the El Paso Symphony Orchestra led by conductor Bohuslav Rattay for a charming evening filled with lively melodies and heartwarming arrangements that will fill the air with festive cheer and bring families together in the spirit of celebration. Lending their beautiful voices to the concerts are soprano Erica Spyres and the UTEP Concert Choir. The concerts will showcase beloved holiday songs such as “We Need a Little Christmas,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “O Holy Night.” In addition, there will be new favorites, including “Theme” from Elf, “Once Upon a December” from Anastaisa, “March of the Toys” from Babes in Toyland, and the world premiere of “Trudging Grimly Through the Snow” by Eric Galluzzo, plus a lot more.
Erica Spyres is excited to celebrate the holidays with the El Paso community. Originally from the Ozarks, Erica is an actor, singer, and fiddle player in NYC. Most recently, she was seen in the season premiere of Law & Order. She has performed on Broadway in Carousel and Paradise Square, and played Ex-Girlfriend in the 1st National Tour of Once. Internationally, she appeared in the Parisian premiere of Sondheim’s Passion conducted by Andy Einhorn at the Théâtre du Châtelet. She has soloed with several orchestras, including the Boston Pops, Arizona Musicfest, Springfield Symphony, Midland Symphony Orchestra, and the Viennese Opera Ball Orchestra, among others.
